EREtrieve Prevail Side Password Reset

When resetting your password for the BSO it is always important to remember to update the password on the Prevail side as well. If this task is not completed, ERetrieve will continue to receive submissions; however, they will remain in the queue until the password is updated in our system.

Three circumstances may necessitate updating your EREtrieve password.

  1. Your BSO password has expired due to not being updated within a 90-day period.

  2. You manually changed the password because you forgot it.

  3. Your firm has a process in place to update the password within the required 90-day period.

 

To initiate the password update on Prevail's side, ensure the following:

The user attempting to update the password must have the highest level of EREtrieve security setting activated in their employee records security settings. Refer to the image below, where you'll notice that the "Upload, Download, and Change Password" security setting must be selected to modify the EREtrieve password on Prevail's side.

Once this security setting is configured, you will receive a prompt to restart Prevail. After completing the restart or if you already have the setting in place, we will proceed to access the password reset menu.

 

Resetting your Password

Select Tools in the top menu of your Prevail application. This will give you a dropdown menu with one of the options being “Reset EREtrieve Password”.


Select this option.

The following window will open.

This is the section where you will reset the password.

After providing the required information as prompted, proceed to click "Submit Request."

Following this action, a menu will confirm the successful processing of your request.

 

Congratulations, you have now effectively updated your new BSO password on Prevail's side.
