Resolving "Unknown Host" Error in Prevail

Step 1: Verify Server Address

  1. Check the Server Address:

    • Open the Registry Editor:

      • Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.

    • Navigate to the following registry key:

      • Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PrevailSettings\Database\Server

    • Ensure that the server address or hostname entered is correct.

  2. Ping the Server:

    • Open the Command Prompt.

    • Type ping -4 [server_hostname] and press Enter.

    • If the server is reachable, you will see reply messages. If not, proceed to the next step.

    • Ensure that the Prevail server configuration is correct.
