Installing Prevail Client

Installing the Prevail client on a workstation is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth installation.

Step 1: Find the Prevail Server Share Path

To locate the Prevail server share path, follow these instructions:

  1. Open Prevail:

    • Launch the Prevail application on any workstation where it is already installed.

  2. Navigate to the Server Share Path:

    • In Prevail, go to the Help menu.

    • Select About from the dropdown menu.

    • In the About window, look for the server share path. This path indicates where the Prevail server files are located on your network.

Step 2: Run the Client Setup File

Once you have the server share path, you can proceed with the installation:

  1. Browse to the Server Share Path:

    • Open File Explorer on the workstation where you want to install the Prevail client.

    • Enter the server share path into the address bar and press Enter. This will navigate you to the Prevail server share folder.

  2. Locate the Client Setup File:

    • In the Prevail server share folder, look for a file named Clientsetup.exe.

  3. Run the Setup File:

    • Double-click Clientsetup.exe to launch the installer.

    • Installation process will start automatically.

  4. Complete the Installation:

    • Once the installation is complete, the login screen of Prevail will open.
