Enabling / Reenabling Outlook Add-in
This troubleshooting guide provides instructions to address issues with the Prevail Outlook Email add-in.
Check COM Add-ins in Prevail Outlook Email:
Navigate to File → Options → Add-ins in Outlook.
Look for "Prevail Outlook Email" in the list.
If found, select it and navigate to Manage: COM Add-ins and select Go…
Select the Prevail Outlook Email add-in and press OK
Check Slow and Disabled Add-ins in Outlook:
Click on File → Slow and Disabled Add-ins
Locate the Prevail add-in and look for a drop-down menu labeled Options below it.
Choose Always Enable from the options to make this change.
Once enabled, the screen will alter slightly, revealing another drop-down menu under the Prevail add-in.
In this dropdown menu, find the option that says Do not monitor this add-in for the next 30 days.
Select this option and click Apply.
After completing these steps, restart Outlook.
Run Prevail Email Batch File:
Ensure you are using the correct version before running the batch file. Run the respective batch file or commands as an administrator from the desktop of the user's machine.
For Version 8 - 32 bit:

regsvr32 /u C:\prevail_client\prevailoutlookemail.dll
regsvr32 C:\prevail_client\prevailoutlookemail.dll
For Version 9 - 32 bit:
File:
taskkill /f /im "outlook.exe"
regsvr32 /u C:\prevail_client\prevailoutlookemail.dll
regsvr32 C:\prevail_client\prevailoutlookemail.dll
For Version 9 - 64 bit:
File:
taskkill /f /im "outlook.exe"
regsvr32 /u C:\prevail_client\prevailoutlookemail.dll
regsvr32 /u C:\prevail_client\prevailoutlookemail64.dll
regsvr32 C:\prevail_client\prevailoutlookemail64.dll
Reset Registry Key:
Use regedit to navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PrevailSettings\Outlook Email:
Locate and set the DLL Installed key to 0.
Restart Prevail. Note that the user might be prompted by network admin credentials.
