Document Merge - Command Not Available
If you encounter a "Command Not Available" error during the document merge process in Prevail, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
1. Close the Error Message:
Close out the error message dialog and any Word window that may open.
2. Open a Matter’s History tab in Prevail:
Navigate to any Matter’s History tab.
3. Open any Word Document from Prevail:
Within the Matter’s History, locate and open any Word document associated with the matter.
4. Switch Print Layout from Web to Print:
In the opened Word document, go to the "View" tab in the ribbon.
Locate and switch the document's layout from "Web Layout" to "Print Layout."
5. Save and Close:
Save the changes to the Word document (if any).
Close the Word document.
6. Retry Document Merge:
Return to the document merge window and attempt it again. The "Command Not Available" error should be resolved.
