When resetting your password for the BSO it is always important to remember to update the password on the Prevail side as well. If this is not done then EREtrieve will accept submissions but they will not move out of the que until this password is updated within our system.
There are Three reasons you would have to do this, the first is because your BSO password expired due to it not being updated within 90 days, you have changed it manually due to forgetting it, or within your firm you have a process in place to update the password within that 90 day period.
First the following needs to be in place to start updating EREtrieve passwords on Prevail’s side.
The user trying to update the password must have the highest level of EREtrieve security setting active on their employee records security settings.
In the below picture you can see that you will need to have “Upload, Download and Change Password“ security setting selected to change the EREtrieve password on Prevail’s side.
After this security setting is in place, you will be prompted to restart Prevail, once this is done, or you already have the setting in place, we will move onto getting to the password reset menu.
To do this select Tools in the top left corner of your prevail application. This will give you a dropdown menu with one of the options being “Reset EREtrieve Password”.
Select this option.
The following menu will come up.
Here is where you will be resetting the password.
Once you have filled it out with the correct information it is prompting for, you will click Submit Request.
You will then be met with a menu stating the request went through successfully.
You have now successfully updated your new BSO password on Prevail’s side.
