WARNING: Records in suspended status are waiting for required actions to be accomplished by your firm.  These actions MUST be resolved in a timely manner for Release Point to further complete the request.

To resolve medical record suspensions, proceed as follows:

  1. Click Medical Records on the left-side navigation

2. This will display all of the ongoing medical records within your firm.

3. Click “Suspended” tab to filter the suspended medical records

4. Click the provider for each suspended records to view the Status Notes

  1. Release Point will provide status notes for each suspended request.

    1. This will detail further actions required by the requesting firm.  

    2. Release Point will not process the request until condition is met

 NOTE: Example below shows Status Notes within a Suspended medical record that requires a firm’s action.

6. Click the “Contact Customer Service” button in the top right of the Status Notes screen

7. Select Contact Reason radio box and choose Respond To a Suspend Notice

This process will connect you directly to Release Point’s customer service associates, which is the most effective process to resolve suspensions and deliver your medical records in the most efficient manner.

Common Reasons for Suspended Medical Record Requests:

Facility Specific Authorization form required to be uploaded

Fee is above agreed upon price

Firm ordered duplicate request

Medical provider does not have medical records for the requested dates of service

Authorization form not signed by claimant

Inaccurate contact information loaded by firm (ex. phone number)
