Entering Claimant’s SSN
To gain access to a claimants case files through the Assure system, you must enter the first 5 digits of a claimants SSN.
Find claimant’s name by searching the All Cases tab or another filtered tab. You can use the “ “ around a claimants full name (eg “claimants name”) from the All Cases tab for the most accurate search filter.
Click the pencil next to the last 4 of the SSN
Enter the first five digits of the SSN, press “enter” on your keyboard or click the green check mark.
Both pencil and green check mark will disappear, the SSN will be saved in the system - providing access to the case files.
NOTE: This begins the case file automation to download/update the Exhibited file based on the scheduled downloads associated with your firm.
Update the first 5 of the SSN:
Go to the All Cases screen
Find the claimant’s name
Option 1: Click “Actions” to the right of the name
Click “Actions”
Click “Update SSN”
Enter the correct SSN in the spaces provided
Click “Save SSN”
Option 2: Click Claimant’s Name
Click Update SSN box in upper right of Case Details screen
Click Save SSN
To Correct Last 4 of SSN
The last 4 of the SSN in Assure system has been pulled from the status report and cannot be corrected within Assure
If this is incorrect, it cannot be resolved by clicking “Actions” , “Update Case File” like to correct the first 5.
This is an issue to be corrected at the OHO / ERE.
