Prevail 10 E-Training*: Prevail Linking Tool

The Linking Tool, found in several tabs throughout Prevail, lets you connect related entries. This makes it easy to view all entries tied to a specific call or event without having to search multiple parts of the program.

Instructions

To use the Prevail Connector:

  1. On any entry window it is available, create your initial entry

    1. Example: create a history entry for a phone call that came in to the firm.

  2. Click ‘Link New Item.’ A dropdown menu will appear, providing the different options of entries you can link:

    • Appointment

    • Email Attach

      • When linking an email, an email window will appear, though emails will not link as the other entry types will.

    • History

    • Ledger Cost

    • Ledger Fee

    • Ledger Time

    • Message

    • Task

  3. Once you have selected from one of the choices above, the original entry will save and you will be brought to the new entry, linked to the original.

Note: The subject line of the added linked entry will be the same as the subject for the original entry. You may change the subject if needed.

  1. You will be able to easily navigate between entries by clicking the tabs at the bottom of the window.
