E-Training*: Add Paper File Location

This article covers adding a paper file location to Prevail.

If your firm is not 100% paperless, and you still maintain paper files of any sort, then you may want to record the file location after closing a paper file.

Instructions

  1. Close the file using the Status> Close Matter button in the upper-right of the Matter tab.

  2. The file location will automatically pop up and prompt you to enter the paper file location.

  3. Enter the paper file location.

  4. Click ‘Close Matter’.

    1. If your office is paperless, leave the file location field blank and Click ‘Close Matter’.

  5. To view or update the file location

    1. Go to the matter.

    2. Choose Tools> File Location

    3. Change the existing location.

    4. Click ‘Update’.
