Attorney/Representative Account Locked

If an account is locked it will be visible under Cases, Credential Manager. It will say “locked”.

Locking a firm’s account is a preventative measure that is done to eliminate the chance that the firm will be locked out at the ERE. Assure/Atlasware will lockout a user after five failed attempts to download a disability case file, most often after entering an incorrect Social Security number.

You as the firm may unlock the system manually, but it is imperative that you first review the error message and fix the issues. For example, if the SSN is incorrect, you must go to the appropriate cases screen, search for the claimant, and take the necessary steps to update the SSN.

After the SSN has been updated, you may unlock the firm’s account by doing the following:

Go to “Cases, click on Credential Manager and click on the blue edit button next to the attorney’s credentials which are locked

At the bottom of the screen there are instructions to unlock the account.

Warning: Unlocking the account and bypassing the system lockout without fixing the issue can result in a 24 hour SSA lockout at the ERE.
