Choose for Assure to write the brief for you

You can request Assure write a brief for you from multiple areas connected to the case;

  • Press the “Request Brief” from the case details page or

  • from the All Cases, or Scheduled Hearing pages by clicking on Actions, Request Brief.

The brief wizard will launch and ask if you want to have Assure write the brief for you or you want to write the brief yourself.

Choose “I want Assure Disability to complete this brief for me”

Choose the brief type requested and the due date

If you have any special instructions to communicate to the attorney brief writer, enter this information in the Special Instructions area.

  • This could be that you’ve submitted evidence that is not exhibited yet or there is a specific area to focus on.

Once you’ve submitted the request, the status will indicate the brief the multiple stages as it is written and moves through our QC phase. When the brief is finished it will be on the brief’s page with a status of “Completed.”

To view the brief, Click the Brief details icon  This will take you to the Brief Details screen. Go to the section titled “Brief Uploads.”

You can find your completed brief under the Brief uploads section of the Brief Details page. Click on the file name to view the brief.

NOTE: Assure does NOT upload completed briefs to the ERE on your behalf; this responsibility belongs to your firm.

If upon review of the brief you choose to edit it, you can do so prior to uploading to the ERE. The file will download to your computer where you’l be able to amend the brief, then save your work.

WARNING: DO NOT TRY TO UPLOAD BRIEFS FROM THE BRIEF DETAILS SCREEN TO THE ERE. This is a bit confusing, but this upload only loads documents to the Assure site…NOT the ERE.

To get to Assure’s ERE uploader

  1. Click on the claimant’s name.

  2. Click on “ERE Uploads” in the Case Details page

  3. Click on “Upload to ERE.”

You can browse for files or drag and drop your file

Click Upload X File(s) and those files will upload - first to Assure, then to the ERE. After the file(s) have been uploaded to the ERE, it will be listed with your other ERE uploads you have made for this claimant and the All Documents view as well.

Once confirmation opens, click the “Download Confirmation” button to save/print.
