This How-to covers detaching a contact from a Matter tree.

\uD83D\uDCD8 Instructions

  1. Click on the party you wish to detach in the matter tree.

  2. Click the ‘Detach’ button above the matter tree.

    1. This is located immediately to the right of the ‘Attach’/paper clip button.

  3. Click ‘Detach’ to confirm.

Note: You cannot detach parties who have any parties attached to them without first detaching the subordinate parties.

If the contact you are trying to remove has an employment or medical records associated with it:

Click the Delete button on the bottom right of the window where this information is displayed (either "Medical" or "Employment," depending on which you have clicked on).

Note: Clicking this button allows you to delete the currently-selected employment or medical record.

Both employment and medical allow you to include multiple records.

If you delete all medical (or employment) entries for a particular medical provider (or employer), you will receive a prompt asking if you want to detach that provider (or employer) from the matter tree.

The medical information which appears on the Matter tab as medical history entries attached to medical providers is exactly the same information that appears on the top panel of the medical tab; medical detail added for this matter only.

Note: Deleting this information from the Matter tab will also cause it to be deleted from the Medical tab.
