Choose for Assure to write the brief for you

To You can request Assure write a brief for you , press from multiple areas connected to the case;

  • Press the “Request Brief” from the case details page or

  • from the

...

  • All Cases, or

...

  • Scheduled Hearing pages by clicking on

  • Actions,

  • Request Brief.

The brief wizard will launch and ask if you want to have Assure write the brief for you or you want to write the brief yourself.

Choose “I want Assure Disability to complete this brief for me”

It will ask you Choose the brief type requested and the due date for the brief. The system will create a default due date 10 days prior to hearing unless the hearing date is less than 10 days from request date. You will also be able to enter here the type of brief desired. If you request Assure write the brief for you, it will indicate the status as the brief is assigned to one of our team,

If you have any special instructions to communicate to the attorney brief writer, enter this information in the Special Instructions area.

  • This could be that you’ve submitted evidence that is not exhibited yet or there is a specific area to focus on.

Once you’ve submitted the request, the status will indicate the brief the multiple stages as it is written and moves through our QC phase. When the brief is finished it will be on the brief’s page with a status of “Completed.”

You can find your completed brief under the Brief uploads section of the Brief Details page. Click on the file name to view the brief. 

NOTE: Assure does NOT upload completed briefs to the ERE on your behalf; this responsibility belongs to your firm.

If upon review of the brief you choose to edit it, you can do so and upload the amended brief to the Brief Uploads using the “Upload new file” button . Go to the “Case Details” page for that claimant and use the ERE uploader to send it to SSA ERE.prior to uploading to the ERE. The file will download to your computer where you’l be able to amend the brief, then save your work.

WARNING: DO NOT TRY TO UPLOAD IT BRIEFS FROM THE BRIEF DETAILS SCREEN TO THE ERE. This is a bit confusing, but this upload only loads documents to THIS location on the Assure site…NOT the ERE.

To get to Assure’s ERE uploader

  2. Click on “ERE

  2. Click on “Upload to ERE.”

NOTE: To upload briefs written by Assure or by yourself to the ERE, you must do so using the ERE Uploader.
