The email tool in Prevail is an add-in to Microsoft Outlook. This feature allows you to easily attach any outgoing or incoming email to the History of any matter in Prevail.

Note: The email integration works only with a full desktop installation of 32-bit Outlook. Webbased Web-based and click-to-run versions of Outlook are not compatible.

Instructions

  1. Open or select the desired email.

    1. The Prevail email add-in will appear on the right.

    2. The Subject line of the email will replicate

    in
    1. the Subject line of the Prevail email panel.

    1. Optional: If you want to change the Subject line, do so here or in the matter after the email is attached.

    2. Select a category from the category drop-down menu. This will be added to the entry you are creating in Prevail.

    3. To attach the email to the matter you currently have open in Prevail:

    4. Click ‘Attach’ 'Attach to Selected Matter: Note the confirmation in the lower right corner.

    5. To attach the email to a different matter

    1. Search , search for the correct matter ( by entering the first few letters of your client’s client's first /or last name in the Search field.)

    2. Click on the desired matter.

    3. Click ‘Attach’'Attach to Selected Matter"

      Note: Any files attached to the incoming email will be included in the History entry made in Prevail
