Tasks are "to do" items. You use them in Prevail to assign actions or duties to users. Tasks are usually associated with a matter, but you may also have tasks that aren't associated with a specific case. After the user has completed the "to do" item, he or she can mark the task as complete in Prevail.

Instructions
Complete one of the following.
Click Calendar > Add > Task.
From the Prevail toolbar, click New > Task.
From the home tab, in the upcoming Tasks section, click Add.
From the Events Tab, in the Tasks panel at the bottom, click Add.
Click the ‘Subject’ field.
Enter a description of the Task.
Choose a Task type from the Type drop-down list.
Enter the date that Start Date: When you want the task to begin appearing in the task list in the Start Date field.seeing this task on your task list.
Due Date: The task deadline for that task.
Pro Tip: In the date field, you can type the date, any day of the week, "Today" "Tomorrow" or "today+" any number of days and it will jump you to that specific date. If you would like to jump to the last day of the current month, type “EOM”Optional: For the reminder pop-up window to appear on a certain date/time, check the ‘Reminder’ box, and indicate the date/time to be reminded
Note: You must be logged into Prevail at this date/time in order to see the reminder.
Choose the responsible user(s).
Note: If the Task is assigned to multi[le multiple users, if any of the users mark the task complete, it will be removed from all users' task list.
To change or remove matter association
Click the Attach/Detach button.Contacts button.
To change the matter that is associated with the task, click “search for matter to attach,” search for the matter you are looking for, and double click to attach that matter to the task.
To remove the matter association from the task, click “Detach Matter.”
Enter any other notes about the Task in the Notes field.
Click, Save.
