Choose for Assure to write the brief for you

To request Assure write a brief for you, press the “Request Brief” from the case details page or from the “All Cases”, or “Scheduled Hearing” pages by clicking on “Actions”, “Request Brief.”

The brief wizard will launch and ask if you want to have Assure write the brief for you or you want to write the brief yourself.

Choose “I want Assure Disability to complete this brief for me”

It will ask you the due date for the brief. The system will create a default due date 10 days prior to hearing unless the hearing date is less than 10 days from request date. You will also be able to enter here the type of brief desired.

If you request Assure write the brief for you, it will indicate the status as the brief is assigned to one of our team, is written and moves through our QC phase. When the brief is finished it will be on the brief’s page with a status of “Completed.”

To view the brief, Click the Brief details icon  This will take you to the Brief Details screen. Go to the section titled “Brief Uploads.”

You can find your completed brief under the Brief uploads section of the Brief Details page. Click on the file name to view the brief.

If upon review of the brief you choose to edit you can do so and upload the amended brief to the Brief Uploads using the “Upload new file” button . Go to the “Case Details” page for that claimant and use the ERE uploader to send it to SSA ERE.

DO NOT TRY TO UPLOAD IT FROM THE BRIEF DETAILS SCREEN TO THE ERE. This is a bit confusing, but this upload only loads documents to THIS location on the Assure site…NOT the ERE.

To get to Assure’s ERE uploader

  1. Go to “All Cases” screen.

  2. Click on the claimant’s name.

  3. Click on “ERE Uploads.”

  4. Click on “Upload to ERE.”

NOTE: To upload briefs written by Assure or by yourself to the ERE, you must do so using the ERE Uploader.

You can browse for files or drag and drop your file

Choose the document type and complete the applicable radio buttons associated with that document type will open (pictured below)

Click Upload X File(s) and those files will upload - first to Assure, then to the ERE. After the file(s) have been uploaded to the ERE, it will be listed with your other ERE uploads you have made for this claimant and the All Documents view as well.

To view upload information, click the button shown below.
