This How-to covers explains the difference between cancelling canceling and deleting appointments in Prevail and how to do both of these.
In Prevail, Scheduling adjustments happen often, and you have the ability to cancel or delete an appointment , and there's a big within the software. There is a difference between the two! We , and deleting appointments affects the history entries, therefore, we recommend that you never delete an appointment , unless it the appointment was scheduled in error.
Always cancel appointments that were scheduled correctly but were later called off or rescheduled.
When you cancel an appointment, the appointment remains on the calendar
...
but is marked as
...
canceled.
Also, there is an entry made on the History tab noting that the appointment was
...
canceled, and the appointment is marked with a strikethrough on the Events and Home tabs.

Click once on the appointment in the calendar to select it.
Optional: If you want Prevail to send a text message to the client to notify of the cancellation, make sure the ‘Notification Message’ box is checked.
Click ‘Cancel Appointment’ at the top of the window.
Click ‘Yes’ to confirm the appointment cancelation.
